mysore practice
the method in which ashtanga yoga is primarily taught is in the style of mysore. there are a total of six series & in each series there are a set number of postures with a deep focus on breath, asana, and drishti. typically the room is silent as each practitioner breathes & moves at their own pace. it is a practice that i have come to love as my own solid foundation of peace and it would be the greatest honor to share it with you.
mysore, india is the birthplace of ashtanga yoga vinyasa, where sri k. pattabhi jois founded it.
it is a dream of mine to go to the birthplace of this practice. it has changed my life in so many meaningful & beautiful ways. the ashtanga community is connected all around the world & it is the biggest honor to be a part of it. i would love the opportunity to share it with you too.
