asana practice
build your own asana practice.
i have spent over two decades performing & creating in the movement art fields. as i come up on practicing my seventh year of yoga, the biggest takeaway i feel that i can share is the POWER of repetition.
if you take a look at my passions, you’ll see that i LOVE change. for me, buying into repetition as a tool was a hard process. when i was growing up … i hated it in piano lessons, certainly hated repeating dance combo’s for classes, & didn’t like re-watching movies. i get it, i do.
BUT ! it’s in the repetition of a “practice” that brings about the subtle patterns in our mind & are made aware to us more clearly & faster over time. especially, how we overcome our hurdles time & time again - that is a huge asset to know about yourself.
so, i invite you to build your own practice with me. we will make it unique to what you are looking for right now in your body, in this season of your life.
see if you can try to repeat it 3x, maybe you could go for a month, what about longer? if & when you are ready for change, nothing in the open airi is going to stop you from doing that.
asana (आसन) is a sanksrit word that is known to generally mean body posture or “sitting down”.
