ashtanga yoga
the method in which ashtanga yoga is taught, is in the style of what we call - the mysore method. there are a total of six series. in each series there are a set number of asanas with a deep focus on breath, asana, and drishti. the room is silent as each practitioner breathes & moves at their own pace. it is a practice that i have come to love as my own foundation of peace and it would be the greatest honor to share it with you.
mysore, india is the birthplace of ashtanga yoga vinyasa, where sri k. pattabhi jois founded it.
ashtanga yoga was the entry point for me into the world of yoga. it will always hold a dear place in my heart for everything it has taught me and continues to teach me. this method of practice requires discipline, attention to detail, and patience - as it takes time to learn the sequence and develop the patterns. if you want guidance on how to begin your practice - iām here for that!
